IV Drip Bar Speakeasy
Why did we name Drip 33 IV Therapy after a Speakeasy?
We named Drip 33 IV Vitamin Therapy after a speakeasy. Why do you ask, because we want you to have a complete experience. Sure you can go to any IV Therapy bar in Saint Charles or Saint Louis, but they are modeled the same. All drip bars receive all medications from the same compound pharmacies.
We all offer the same cocktails and we all put a different spin on them. But the experience you receive during your visit is the most important. We are here to change the way a drip bar feels and deliver an experience you won't get anywhere else.
What is a speakeasy?
Originally a speakeasy was a place where alcoholic beverages were illegally sold during the prohibition era in the 1920-30's. During this time; the manufacture, sale, and transport of alcohol was illegal in the United States.
Speakeasies served as underground and secret establishments where Americans still seeking spirits could indulge. However, a modern speakeasy does not require illegality and instead it refers to a bar that still has the ‘hidden’ quality, often concealed behind a door in a restaurant or hotel.
Doc's Garage
Welcome to Doc’s Garage, where you must have an appointment. When you make this appointment you will be given a password which you will give to the front desk when entering the Doc’s Garage Speakeasy Office. Doc’s Garage is located in the back of the building, where you will find a walkout to the building. At this point you will be offered a drink (non-alcoholic) and have a seat. Play poker, chess, checkers or simply read a book.
This is your time to rest and kick your feet up. Dr. Sturm will place your IV cocktail. Then when finished, a medical assistant will remove your IV and place a bandaid. It’s that simple. We do have two private rooms available and one large room if you are interested in a party before/after a bachelors night or wedding shower for example.
Why were the Prohibition-era Establishments so Popular?
The speakeasy were a staple of the 1920s and early 1930s, when alcohol was illegal in the United States and thirsty patrons had to tunnel underground to seek out spirits. They are no longer a relic of the past and have become popular in recent years especially in big cities like New York City and Chicago.
